Highway Heros - 2018 Scholarship Winners

Mason Burrage-Burton, son of Marva Burton, recently graduated from New Madrid County Central High School.  Mason’s mother has most influenced his life by teaching him to always try his best in everything he does.  That advice is sure to serve him well in the fall, when he plans to attend Baylor University and major in Biology before attending Medical School to become an Anesthesiologist.  He states that his favorite thing about being part of the credit union is the kindness of the staff and members.

Faith Grant, the daughter of Leanne & Randy Grant, is a 2018 Graduate of Scott City High School.  In her free time, she enjoys playing sports, reading a good book, and spending quality time with her family.  She plans to attend Three Rivers College to earn her Associate’s Degree in Health Science before transferring to Southeast Missouri State University to earn her Bachelor’s Degree and become an Occupational Therapist.  She states she is very appreciative of the opportunity this scholarship has afforded her.  She looks forward to being a “shining light to others” throughout her life.

Griffin King, a 2018 Graduate of Cape Central High School, is the son of Brent & Bobbi King and grandson of Bob & Lorraine Simpson.  He states that his Grandfather has most influenced his life with his heavy involvement and by being a positive role model.  Throughout High School, he enjoyed attending jazz & marching band festivals, camping, and participating on the Academic Competition Team.   His academic plans include attending Murray State University to pursue a degree in Broadcast Journalism.
